Thank you to everyone who has supported us financially

The Cambridge Cancer Help Centre offers support to individuals and families living with Cancer. We receive no public funding and look to raise funds in a variety of ways.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has partnered with us and supported us over financially whether these be individual fundraisers, organisations or grant funding bodies.

Your support enables us to continue to support those living with Cancer in our region.

The Evelyn Trust

We are delighted to receive a major grant fund from the Evelyn Trust in 2024 to support the running cost of the Centre including retaining a full-time Charity Manager.

The Balsham Ploughmen

We are very grateful for a financial donation from the Balsham Ploughmen. The Balsham Ploughmen are a group of men who live in, or are connected to, Balsham, Cambridgeshire.  They raise money annually on Plough Monday and bi-annually at the Balsham Feast for charities in and around Balsham.

Gonville Hotel

Thank you to the Gonville Hotel for supporting the Centre during Breast Cancer Awareness week in October 2023 – a stunning raffle prize from the Spa and complimentary afternoon tea for a group of members.

Hill Demolition Cycle Ride

South Cambridgeshire District Council

In Summer 2023, we were delighted to receive a long-term activity grant from South Cambridgeshire District Council towards health and fitness activities at the Centre.

This funding will help us sustain and enhance what we offer over the coming months.

National Federation of Demolition Contractors

We thank the National Federation of Demolition Contractors who made a donation to the Centre enabling us to continue our work supporting those living with Cancer in our region.

Sawston Fun Run

We are grateful to organisers of the Sawston Fun Run, the event sponsors and the Rotary Club of Cambridge Sawston for their generous support of the Centre from the 2023 Coronation Fun Run. We also thank everyone who participated in the Run & Walk and who donated. The Centre funds to continue our work supporting those living with Cancer in South Cambrideshire and beyond.

Issured Ltd

The design and development of our new website was been made possible by the generous support of Issured Limited as part of the amazing support they have offered us over the past 12 months through their corporate social responsibility team. Support has included the donation of a Box at the O2 (for Elton John) and a large screen monitor for the Centre.

Bidwells Ltd

Thank you to Bidwells for a donation in October 2022 to help fund Peer Support Groups at the Centre and for the purchase of a box at the O2 for Elton John in Spring 2023.

Cambridgeshire Freemasons

We thank the Cambridgeshire Freemasons for their very generous donation to the Centre in spring 2023. This funding will enable the purchase of new screens which are needed to help us accommodate a growing number of cancer support groups including Breast, Prostate, Head and Neck, Lymphoma, Myeloma, Urostomy and our Carer’s corner.

Scotsdales Charitable Foundation

We are indebted to the Rayner family (including Caroline Owen and Ben Rayner) and the Scotsdales Charitable Foundation for their ongoing partnership and support. Opened in 2008, the David Rayner Building (named in tribute to the late David Rayner, Chairman of Scotsdales) is the home to the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre at 120 Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, CB22 5JT,

Rotary Club Christmas Car Parking

We would like to thank the Rotary Club of Cambridge South for their generous support in raising funds for a number of good causes through their Christmas 2022 Charity Car Parking project, including the the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre. The funds will help ensure that the Centre can continue to provide support for individuals, carers and families living with Cancer during 2023.

The Pye Foundation

We are grateful for the support of The Pye Foundation for a generous grant to the Centre in 2022 which has enabled the purchase of a Defibrillator and the running of regular dance classes at the Centre increasing the support we can offer to those living with Cancer.

ARM (through CCF)

Thank you ARM for supporting our Peer Support Groups with funding for our Prostrate Support Group at the Centre.

The Cole Charitable Trust

Thank you to the Cole Charitable Trust for supporting our Peer Support Groups with funding in Sept 2022 to run our Breast Cancer Support Group at the Centre.
