Introduction
Join us for a friendly, community walk from Cambridge to the moon on Sunday 13th September 2026 where every step helps raise vital funds to enable the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre support more people that have been affected by a cancer diagnosis.
Cancer Support for You
We believe that no-one should feel alone with a cancer diagnosis. At the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre we offer a warm welcome, information, support and access to our range of holistic activities to enhance your mind, body and spirit during what can be very challenging times.

The Walk
The Routes
We have two distances available – a 6 mile starter walk or a longer 12 mile route.
Route Information
We will set out and finish at our Centre based in the David Rayner Building on the Scotsdales site at 120 Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, Cambridge, CB22 5JT.

Registration for the walk includes:
- A Cambridge Cancer Help Centre T-shirt
- Walk route information and Route Pack
- A 1st aider on hand
- Route marshalls

Registration and Fundraising
Costs to Register
Individual
There is a registration fee to pay of £10 for the 6 mile and £20 for the £12 miles. This covers the costs of organising the event.
In addition we will ask you to commit to raise a minimum of £200 to support people in Cambridgeshire living with cancer. This year we have opened a new Fitness Hub and are offering more fitness activities. Every penny we raise will help us extend support further.
We will gladly support you in your fundraising efforts. Connect with us on social media as a first step!

Family or Group
There is a registration fee to pay of £30 for the 6 mile and £50 for the £12 miles (covering 3 to 5 people). This covers the costs of organising the event.
In addition we will ask you to commit to raise a minimum of £300 to support people in Cambridgeshire living with cancer. This year we have opened a new Fitness Hub and are offering more fitness activities. Every penny we raise will help us extend support further.

What we offer
The Cambridge Cancer Help Centre offers support for local people living with cancer including their families, carers and friends. Established in 1986 by Marilyn Barnes, we have been operating now for 40 years!
The Centre offers a wide range of support including courses, 1:1 complementary therapies, specialist cancer support groups, dance and fitness and social activities. These are open to anyone at any stage of their cancer journey.
As a charity the Centre receives no public money and every penny raised will go to ensure we can help more people living with Cancer over the coming months and years.
The Centre is located in The David Rayner Building on the left as you turn into Scotsdales Garden Centre in Great Shelford. The building offers three fully equipped therapy rooms and spacious areas for support groups and social activities.
