Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
EFT is a form of ’emotional acupuncture’ involving tapping rather than use of needles. EFT works by clearing negative emotions that may cause disruption to the body’s energy system.
It is usual for the therapist to tap on the person whilst helping them to access the areas they want to work with safely and gently.
It is simple to learn and can be used by anyone to help alleviate a wide range of emotional problems and issues including anxiety, fears, phobias, post traumatic stress, anger and guilt.
The therapist will teach the person how to use EFT at home so that they can ‘tap’ into their own resources themselves and continue the healing process between sessions.
