WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THIS BOOK
"There is something immensely moving and uplifting in the personal stories that make up 'Looking at the Stars'. The courage, the humour, the resourcefulness, the comradeship of these wonderful people cannot fail to uplift the reader and inspire a new and enhanced way of looking at life. This little book is a tribute to the many great souls who learned how to turn negative to positive, to create pure gold out of the lead of the cancer experience. These are the modern alchemists and they have the power to show us, the readers, how to do the same. What a gift!"
Pat Pilkington Co-founder of the Bristol Cancer Help Centre
"This book powerfully illustrates some of the many inspirational and loving ways people come to tems with their own diagnosis. It is a journey of discovery that offers many gifts to the reader. And while it is a memorial to a few of the many wonderful people who are and have been involved at the Centre, it is also a testament to the loving people who run it. This book charts their humour, their grief, their fears and their hopes as they reconnect with health and happiness."
Karen Wolstenholme Kinesiologist and Fiona's Network
"The Gog Magog hills south of Cambridge provided the backdrop to my reading of 'Looking at the Stars'. I took some breaks to do my own looking and thinking. There is a sense in which one shares the emotions and stands alongside the individuals as they record their experiences. Their eloquence and insights deserve the reader's unhurried and compassionate attention. Honesty, pain, joy, humour and much wisdom are contained in this small book. It bears repeated return visits".
